Optimize your look with Xeomin Injections in Beverly Hills

Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is an injectable neurotoxin that improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These injections block specific chemical signals from facial nerves that cause muscles to contract. Overactive facial muscles that trigger wrinkles relax, reducing the appearance of frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles.

Xeomin has proven to be a rewarding solution for many patients looking to combat and prevent signs of aging. Depending on the age at when the injectable therapy began, patients should expect an 80-100% decrease in wrinkles over time.

What is Xeomin?

Like Botox and Dysport, Xeomin is a botulinum toxin type A, FDA-approved to reduce facial lines and wrinkles. Strategically placed injections block signals from the nerves to facial muscles, causing overactive muscles to relax—this effect results in a smoother, more youthful appearance with significant wrinkle reduction.

Its formulation is the primary distinguishing factor that differentiates Xeomin from alternative neurotoxins. Because it is one of the purest forms of botulinum toxin type A, it is commonly referred to as the "naked" injectable. Unlike Botox, Xeomin does not contain additives or accessory proteins. This pure neurotoxin reduces the risk of allergic reactions. It also makes the patient less likely to develop antibodies against the injectable (which can occur with Botox or Dysport).

Wrinkles can begin to appear as a result of:

  • Aging
  • Regular Sleeping Positions
  • Weight Loss
  • Characteristic Facial Positions
  • Sun Damage
  • Lack Of Hydration
  • Smoking

Xeomin injections can safely and effectively reduce and prevent further signs of aging with long-lasting results and minimal downtime. It also pairs well with other skin rejuvenation treatments such as dermal fillers to maximize effects.

How the Procedure Works

The procedure involves injecting tiny amounts of Xeomin into the forehead, the glabella (the area between eyebrows and above the nose), and crow’s feet at different sites using a very thin needle. Treatment is quick, virtually painless, and no anesthetics are required. However, some individuals may prefer to have their skin numbed before the injections.

Before & Preparation

  • Schedule a consultation for a complete evaluation and treatment plan.
  • Inform your injector of your medical history.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol 24 hours before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
  • Avoid taking Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Ginger, Ginko Biloba, Ginseng, and Garlic for 10-14 days before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding.
  • Discontinue retinol or retinoid products for two days before and after treatment.
  • Your provider may recommend an anti-viral treatment if you are prone to cold sores.
  • If you are highly sensitive to needles or pain, you may apply Zensa to pre-numb the treatment area.

During the Procedure

  • The entire treatment process takes 10-20 minutes to complete.
  • No anesthetics are required. However, your provider may apply a topical anesthetic to help reduce discomfort.
  • Your provider will inject Xeomin into the designated area(s).

Aftercare & Recovery

  • Patients can return to their regular daily schedule immediately after the procedure.
  • Avoid rubbing the injected areas.
  • Results are observable within five to seven days and last approximately three to six months.

Botox and Xeomin are neuromodulators that reduce the movement of overactive facial muscles to prevent and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Although Botox has been available longer, both are equally effective in reducing wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and between eyebrows.

Xeomin injections typically last 3-4 months. However, there have been reports of effects lasting up to six months. The duration of results varies based on the rate your body metabolizes the product.

Botox and Xeomin are both botulinum toxin type A. However, Xeomin is often referred to as the “naked” injectable as it is one of the purest forms of botulinum type A. Unlike Botox, it contains no additives, which reduces the risk of allergic reactions and makes patients less likely to develop antibodies against the injectable.

Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin all have comparable effects that last 3-6 months. The only significant difference lies within the time it takes to see optimal effects. Botox takes 7-10 days, Dysport typically takes 2-3 days, and Xeomin takes 5-6 days. Speak to an experienced provider to determine which neurotoxin is right for you.

Botox typically costs $10-$15 per unit, averaging 20-40 units per treatment. Xeomin is slightly less expensive than Botox, with an average cost of $8-$18 per unit.

A standard Xeomin treatment typically requires 100 units of the product at an average cost of $8-$18 per unit. Pricing varies based on the chosen provider, location, and units required for optimal effects.
