Enhance Your Look with PRP Hair Treatment in Beverly Hill

PRP Hair Treatment is a safe and effective, non-surgical hair loss therapy where your body’s growth factors slow or stop the progression of hair loss or create an environment for hair growth. Patients experiencing alopecia or pattern baldness now have a safe, effective, and inexpensive alternative to surgical restoration procedures. You can return to your normal activities immediately with no driving restrictions or post-operative pain.

PRP is processed and extracted from your blood sample and injected into your numbed scalp. Growth factors in your PRP signal the dormant follicles to regrow hair, producing stronger roots, thicker strands, and an increase in the number of active follicles. Treatments are scheduled every four to six weeks, for four to six months, with results including significant hair regrowth and reduction in hair loss. Regrown hair looks and feels like your natural hair - because it is.

What is PRP Hair Treatment?

PRP is a safe, effective, non-surgical therapy to slow or stop hair loss. Concentrated platelets collected from your blood signal the dormant hair follicles to begin growing, lengthening the active growth phase of the follicles, resulting in natural-looking, thicker, stronger hair.

  • A form of regenerative medicine using PRP derived from your own blood.
  • The treatment stimulates dormant follicles to regrow hair
  • A nearly painless procedure with zero recovery time.
  • Equally effective in all genders.
  • Significantly lower cost than surgical treatment options.

How the Procedure Works

As regenerative medicine, PRP therapies use your body’s naturally occurring growth factors to accelerate tissue healing. Platelets from your body are injected into treatment areas to treat various injuries and accelerate wound healing. PRP for Hair Treatment signals your scalp’s dormant follicles to begin regrowing hair.

Before & Preparation

  • Your clinician may instruct you to avoid over-the-counter medications like ibuprofen or naproxen for 1-2 weeks before treatment.
  • Discontinue using blood-thinning herbs or supplements at least one week before treatment.
  • Discuss stopping any blood-thinning prescription medications like Coumadin with your provider.

During the Procedure

  • The procedure begins with an experienced provider taking a blood sample and processing it in a centrifuge to separate the sample’s components. PRP is extracted, concentrated, and isolated for use.
  • Before injections, your scalp is numbed with a chiller cap or injectable anesthetic. For most patients, this eliminates all pain. However, additional pain management options are available to ensure your comfort.
  • Your appointment will last about 30 minutes, with injections taking only a few minutes.
  • You can immediately return to work or other regular activities.

Aftercare & Recovery

  • Wait at least six hours before using any hair products.
  • Avoid applying heat or cold to the site for 3-6 days afterward, including using saunas, pools, or steam rooms.
  • Avoid exercise, alcohol, caffeine, and cigarettes for three days afterward.
  • Your provider will monitor your regrowth to evaluate the number of treatments required.
  • Full results should be seen in as many as four months.

PRP Hair Treatment Reviews

“Can't say enough great things about Dr. Nazarian and her entire staff. For the past year I've been treated with Vivace and Silk Peel to improve skin issues, PRP for hair regrowth, filler to correct under eyes, and PicoSure Laser to get rid of my unwanted tattoos. These are not "pleasant" procedures but Dr. Nazarian and her staff do everything possible to make me feel comfortable. Also, they have made great suggestions but do not try to convince me that I need more than what I came for. Lovely office and lovely people. I'm so happy I found this place!”

There is no cure for hair loss. PRP hair rejuvenation does not prevent new areas of baldness from forming on your scalp. Scheduling touch-up injections at least once a year, helps maintain hair growth achieved with PRP. Also, avoid chemicals and hot styling appliances.

PRP uses the patient’s own highly concentrated growth factors in the form of platelets to extend the most active portion of the hair growth cycle. In doing so, PRP thickens hair and stimulates new hair growth.

Results will vary depending on severity, size of the treatment area, and the number of sessions required. Most people see full results with four to six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Results last for 12-24 months and will require ongoing maintenance injections.

Yes. PRP injections target existing follicles that have stopped producing hair by stimulating them to come out of dormancy. Full results are noticeable within four months.

Not usually. Numbing with a chiller cap or injectable anesthetic is typically more than enough pain management for clients. Still, additional pain management is available if requested.

PRP uses your body’s platelets to accelerate healing and stimulate tissue repair. When injected into the scalp, PRP signals dormant hair follicles to begin growing again, slowing or stopping the process of hair loss.

Yes, PRP is safe. The least invasive hair loss treatment available today poses almost no risk of infection or allergic reaction because the injection is drawn from your own blood.

Yes. With any procedure, results will vary depending on many factors. Results from PRP depend most on the type of hair loss being treated. You will not see results in patients whose hair loss is due to damaged or absent follicles.
