How the Procedure Works
Before & Preparation.
Before the AccuTite procedure, we suggest the following:
- Avoid products containing aspirin, Vitamin E, or ibuprofen two weeks before your treatment. These compounds are known to cause thinning of the blood. Avoiding them reduces the risk of bruising and bleeding.
- It's equally important to avoid cigarettes and alcohol to prevent complications during the healing process.
During the Procedure.
- On your treatment day, your Nazarian Plastic Surgery provider will supply you with a gown and escort you to the procedure room.
- Your practitioner will first clean the skin in the targeted area before using local anesthesia to numb the area. We will allow you time to get comfortable as the anesthetic takes effect.
- Once the treatment area is numb, the doctor will make a tiny incision to allow radiofrequency energy to access the subdermal tissues of the skin. The RF waves heat these tissues resulting in skin contraction and tightening.
- You may notice cracking and popping sounds as the tissues gradually heat, indicating that the procedure is working. We give each targeted area about five to fifteen minutes of treatment.
- Your doctor will aspirate the liquefied fat, clean your skin and cover the tiny puncture holes with small plasters.
Aftercare & Recovery
After a successful procedure, you may return home the same day.
- Your doctor may prescribe a few antibiotics to avert infections.
- The doctor will dress the treated area in a compression garment to reduce pain and swelling and facilitate healing. You are to wear the garment throughout until advised otherwise by our doctors.
- You can massage the treatment areas gently, but you should not apply ice or heat to these areas.
- You should also avoid irritating skin products and alcohol the first month after treatment.
- You may perform light activities 48 hours after the procedure.
Treatment Areas
AccuTite effectively remodels various areas of the body and face. The target area may include:
- Lower Face: Marionette lines or lines appearing at mouth corners and running down to your chin
- Periorbital Area: This is the Upper and lower eyelid area. Aging signs first manifest in this area.
- Neck
- Nasolabial Folds: Commonly referred to as “laugh lines.” They appear on either side of the nose down to your mouth.
- Eye Brows
- Upper Arms: This is the region from the elbow to the armpit. With age, this area becomes very problematic with the deposition of fats.
- Thighs: The upper part of the legs develops sagging skin with age. A routine workout may cure this, but the inner thigh is quite stubborn.
