VTone is a quick and painless procedure that’s completed in 30 minutes and is administered in six to eight sessions over three months to achieve optimal results. Patients get to see satisfactory results one to two weeks after the last treatment session. Depending on the patient, maintenance treatment is required every 4-6 months.
There are no negative side effects of VTone. The procedure is relatively comfortable as VTone is non-surgical and there are no incisions or anesthesia involved. However, people with hypertonic or tense pelvic floor and patients with active electrical implants in their body are exempted from having this procedure.
As the VTone device contracts the pelvic floor muscles at high intensity, you will feel a contracting sensation that is mild and painless. The VTone treatment feels gentle and warm, many women find it soothing and comfortable.
VTone treatment costs between $200-500 per session. It requires 6-8 sessions to get the best result and the cost of the procedure will depend on the treatment area, the expertise of the applicator, and the geographical location.
During a VTone treatment, a disposable electrostimulator, the size of a tampon is inserted into the vaginal canal, this device sends electrical pulses to stimulate muscle contractions. This contracts the muscles at high intensity and strengthens the pelvic floor muscles by toning and tightening muscle fibers that were weakened or overstretched during pregnancy or childbirth.
Both treatments are non-surgical and non-invasive treatments that deal with pelvic floor issues by using electrical muscular energy to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles; however, VTone is applied intravaginally while Emsella involves patients sitting on an Emsella chair fully clothed.
