How the Procedure Works
Dysport is a safe and straightforward procedure for treating fine lines and wrinkles. There is no need for surgery with this in-office procedure.
Before & Preparation
- The first step for this treatment is a consultation with our experienced practitioners. Our experts will do the following for you:
- Explore what your expectations are.
- Give you more information concerning the procedure.
- Confirm you are a fit candidate for the procedure.
- Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and other anti-inflammatory drugs at least 1 week before the procedure. They increase the possibility of swelling and bruising.
- Avoid Alcoholic beverages, caffeine, high-sodium food, cigarette, and spicy foods 24 hours before the procedure.
- Wait at least 2 weeks after laser treatment, peels, or other facial procedures.
During the Procedure
- Duration: 15 to 20 minutes.
- Site of Injection: The Glabellar Area (between the eyebrows).
- Needle Used: Ultra slim needle.
- Pain: Slight pain. You can opt for a local anesthetic to be applied before the procedure.
- Step-by-Step Guide:
- The Injector will clean the injection site properly before injection.
- Our expert will inject into each of the 5 points between and over the eyebrows.
- Your provider will apply a cold compress to limit bruising and swelling.
Aftercare & Recovery
- Avoid lying face down or rubbing the treated area for at least 4 hours.
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, high-sodium foods, and cigarette 24-48 hours after your treatment.
- Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Ginkgo Biloba, and other anti-inflammatory drugs at least 3 days post-procedure.
