Before & Preparation
- Your provider will schedule a preliminary consultation to assess the skin and review your medical history.
- Patients must discontinue certain medications such as Accutane for at least six months. Avoid topical creams such as Retin A for 3-5 days before treatment.
- Avoid skin resurfacing and hair removal treatments 5-7 before your procedure.
During the Procedure
- The patient’s skin is disinfected with alcohol to avoid infection.
- Your provider will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area one hour before the procedure.
- Once the area is numb, your provider will apply the microneedling device to the skin for 30-45 minutes.
- RF waves are emitted from the microneedles stimulating the body’s natural healing process.
- Your provider may apply a growth solution to the treated area to assist with cellular regeneration.
- At the end of the treatment, your provider may apply a soothing solution or a mask.
Aftercare & Recovery
- There is no downtime involved with this procedure.
