How the Procedure Works
Facial fillers, including Vollure, work by injecting a durable gel deep into the facial tissue. This restores support and volume in treatment areas evoking a more youthful look and smoothness.
Before & Preparation
- Seek consultation with one of our aestheticians at Nazarian Plastic Surgery to discuss the best approach to your cosmetic needs and to book your filler appointment.
- Two days before the procedure, our experienced practitioner will ask you to refrain from taking blood thinners or anti-inflammatory drugs, including Aspirin, Ibuprofen, fish oil, Vitamin E, and others.
- Refrain from alcoholic beverages 48 hours before the treatment.
- Avoid tweezing, waxing, bleaching, or using hair removal formulas on the treatment area 48 hours before.
- You will also want to wash off any makeup on your face before the procedure.
- The responsible person will recommend you use Arnica a couple of days before the procedure.

During the Procedure
- Before starting treatment, the surgeon will apply a lidocaine-based numbing cream that may take up to 15 minutes to kick in.
- After the application, the treatment area is rigorously cleansed and swabbed with an alcohol-based medium.
- The surgeon injects Vollure deep into the facial tissue.
- The number of injections will depend on the patient's aesthetic goals. A typical Vollure treatment will last 30 to 40 minutes.
Aftercare & Recovery
- After treatment, patients can head home since Vollure has no downtime, and results are visible quickly.
- The experienced practitioner may administer a cooling agent for application on treatment sites.
- Avoid rubbing or touching your skin for at least a day or two to promote effective recovery and prevent infection.
- Vollure has no downtime, and you may return to work immediately after the procedure. Swelling and discomfort are temporary and will subside in a week or two.
