Optimize your look with a Thread Lift in Beverly Hills

A Thread Lift is a minimally-invasive procedure that uses temporary sutures to pull back the skin tissue on the face and neck to lift and smooth out any sagging. This non-surgical method will tighten the skin, giving you a more defined, youthful look.

As we age, we start losing facial fat and volume, the supporting tissues of the cheeks and jaw lines weaken, and our lower face and neck start to sag. Facial Thread Lifting gently lifts sagging facial and neck skin to produce a smoother, younger-looking appearance. This procedure is ideal for those that experience mild to moderate sagging of facial tissues. Keep in mind that this is not an alternative to a traditional facelift. Your provider will discuss which option works best for you during your consultation.

What is Thread Lift?

Thread Lift is a procedure where threads are attached to the skin tissue or fat and pulled back to instantly lift and smooth loose skin, reducing the appearance of sagging skin. During this procedure, your provider inserts special absorbable, barbed threads into the soft tissue of the face and neck through strategic needle entry points. A hollow needle is inserted into the skin to put the thread in position.

Depending on the number of areas treated, Facial Thread Lifting can be completed within 30 minutes to 2 hours. Because the procedure uses local anesthesia and patients remain conscious, you can approve the look of the Thread Lift as the surgeon works. The needle access points are invisible, leaving you with no scarring.

Do not wear make-up for 24 hours after the procedure. Do not get a facial or massage. Avoid drinking alcohol, vigorous exercise, and smoking for at least two weeks.

You will see firming and tightening immediately after the procedure. However, the final results will be revealed after two to three weeks.

Thread breakage is possible. This is why it is important to keep facial movements to a minimum while recovering. Thread breakage does not pose any threat to you if it does occur.

Do not wash your face or apply make-up for at least 24 hours after your procedure. After 24 hours, you may gently wash your face with a cleanser. It is okay if shampoo hits the entry points. You can towel dry them after you shower.

Sleep on your back with your head propped up on a pillow for at least a week. Sleeping on your side can result in excess pressure on your face, which is not ideal after treatment.

Avoid excess chewing, talking, yawning, smiling, and other facial movements for at least one week after your procedure. Doing so will ensure that you do not irritate the treatment area or disturb the placement of the threads.
