Filler injections to the back of the hands are a non-surgical technique to restore volume and youth to aging hands using dermal fillers. This hand rejuvenation treatment conceals the underlying tendons and blood vessels that become more prominent as you age.

Hand volume filler injections add volume to the spaces in the wrinkled areas of the hand. A hand filler treatment at Nazarian Plastic Surgery will rejuvenate the skin at the back of the hands for a more youthful appearance.

What are Hand Volume Filler Injections?

Hand Volume Filler Injections are a treatment form used to reverse the signs of aging on the hand. These fillers add volume to the back of the hand, increase skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles—making your hands look fresher and more youthful.

Hand Volume Filler Injections deal with the intrinsic aging factors of the hand, including loss of elasticity and a reduction in underlying tissues. The Dermal fillers are injected into the subcutaneous layer of the hand. These injections restore the volume in the back of the hand and make the hand look youthful.

Our expert practitioners use a variety of fillers to execute this procedure, including:
  • Radiesse®: the first FDA-approved hand filler to restore volume and conceal veins on the aging hand. Its active ingredient is calcium hydroxylapatite. Radiesse usually lasts for a minimum of 8 months.
  • Restylane Lyft: a hyaluronic acid-based filler commonly known as a facial filler. It was FDA-approved in 2018 as a hand filler—it is an effective and safe way to restore the volume of the back of the hand.

Hand Fillers are a very proficient way of adding volume to your hands. With these, you can restore full volume to the hands and your veins well concealed. There are other methods of increasing hand volume, but they are more complex and expensive.

Usually, hand fillers last for 12 to 18 months. Several things affect this result, ranging from your body’s rate of breaking the fillers down to how much ‘wear and tear’ your hand undergoes.

Because of the materials with which these fillers are made, almost anybody is a suitable candidate for this. Anyone who desires to have their hands look younger, and fuller is a good candidate for Hand Volume Filler Injection.

Yes, they do. Directly after treatment, the fillers may feel stiff or lumpy to the touch. This feeling is expected as part of the body’s adjustment process. The fillers settle in and feel more natural within a week of treatment.

It is normal to notice swelling following hand volume filler procedures— it usually resolves within a few days. It is most apparent within the first two days after treatment. It progressively resolves, and the swelling is almost completely gone by the third day.
