How the Procedure Works
Following a consultation, the procedure will begin with cleaning and numbing the treatment area. After waiting for the numbing agent to activate, your provider will inject Restylane Kysse into the predetermined area(s). After, your provider will give you some follow-up instructions that you must carefully follow during your recovery.
Before & Preparation
- Minimize alcohol consumption
- Avoid vitamin supplements and certain prescribed medications.
- Talk to your doctor about your medical history and mention any allergies and medications you might be taking.
- During the Procedure
- Your experienced practitioner will clean and numb the treatment area with a topical anesthetic.
- Your provider will inject the Restylane Kysse filler into the lips with an ultrafine needle.
- Your provider will gently massage the lips to distribute the filler evenly.
- Your provider will discuss aftercare instructions and answer any additional questions you may have.
Aftercare & Recovery
- Following the treatment, you can immediately go home without any downtime. However, it may take 1-3 days for the treatment to take effect. During that time, it is best to avoid:
- Touching/massaging the treated area within six hours of receiving the filler
- Exposure to heat/UV lights for the first 24 hours
- Strenuous exercise
