How the Procedure Works
The DiamondGlow Facial is a safe, non-surgical dermabrasion treatment with no downtime. Most patients do not experience any discomfort or irritation post-treatment. Understanding what to expect before, during, and after the service is necessary to ensure you are comfortable and aware throughout the treatment process.
Before & Preparation
- Three days before treatment, discontinue using any products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Retinol, or Vitamin A.
- If you have used Accutane/isotretinoin, you must wait six months post-usage to receive a DiamondGlow Facial.
- You may not receive treatment if your skin has sunburn, open wounds, or sores.
During the Procedure
- A skin assessment will take place, and its condition and current needs will determine which serum will be beneficial.
- The treatment will begin and will last at least 30 minutes.
- It is possible to feel a slight “scratching” sensation and light suction throughout the service from the diamond tip.
- It is possible to feel moisture on the skin due to the serum infusion.
- An application of moisturizer and SPF may take place post-treatment.
Aftercare & Recovery
- Redness of the skin can take place post-treatment, which will resolve itself within a few hours.
- Limit sun exposure and wear SPF.
- Do not exfoliate the skin for at least one-week post-treatment.
- The skin may be more sensitive due to exfoliation, which will subside within one week.
- Do not use any Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, or Vitamin A for at least three days post-treatment.
- Do not pick or scratch the treatment area.
- You can wear makeup post-treatment.

Limit sun exposure. Do not pick, rub, or scratch any areas, as you may irritate them. Refrain from using Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, or Vitamin A for at least three days post-treatment.
Avoid using Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, or tretinoin. Avoid sun exposure for seven days before treatment. Avoid using wax on the treatment area for at least two weeks before the service. Do not use Accutane/isotretinoin for at least six months prior to your DiamondGlow Facial.
The DiamondGlow Facial will work for 6-12 weeks post-treatment. Your skin will naturally slough off the rough texture leaving you with smooth, glowing skin.
After your DiamondGlow Facial, you can immediately return to wearing makeup. However, it is a good idea to give your skin time to breathe by waiting 24 hours before applying makeup.
It is completely safe to receive Botox injections after your DiamondGlow Facial.
A DiamondGlow Facial does not remove hair unless paired with a dermaplane.
