Enhance Your Look with Power Peel for Melasma in Beverly Hill

The Power Peel at Nazarian Plastic Surgery is a depigmentation treatment to correct the effects of Melasma by decreasing melanin in the skin. It is more potent than other chemical peels and is effective in clearing severe hyperpigmentation. Power peel is the MD version of Cosmelan peel and is stronger and more effective than the normal Cosmelan.

This 2-phased procedure improves the skin for those predisposed to discoloration and removes melasma in those struggling to maintain it. After using the power peel, the skin appears clearer, smoother, and more homogeneous.

What is Power Peel For Melasma?

The Power Peel is the gold standard for the treatment of Melasma. It is a high-performing chemical peel that removes various forms of hyperpigmentation and specializes in treating melasma, liver spots, and acne scars.

The active ingredients in Power peel include:

  • Hydroquinone (up to 8%): This skin-lightening agent is used to treat melasma in chemical peels. It inhibits melanin production to lighten dark patches and even skin tone.
  • Retinoic Acid: This acid is a form of vitamin A that works by increasing cell turnover and stimulating collagen production, which can help improve the skin's appearance. It may also help to inhibit the production of melanin.
  • Azelaic Acid: Azelaic Acid inhibits the production of melanin and possesses anti-inflammatory properties to help to improve the texture and tone of the skin
  • Kojic Acid: Kojic Acid has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that improve the appearance of the skin and inhibit melanin production.
  • Arbutin: Arbutin is a natural plant extract and a skin-lightening agent that effectively reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation, age spots, and freckles by inhibiting the production of melanin in the skin.
  • Phytic Acid: This acid is an exfoliant and skin-brightening agent that effectively improves the skin's texture and tone by removing dead skin cells and reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
  • Ascorbic Acid: Ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, is a skin brightening and rejuvenating agent that improves the texture and tone of the skin by increasing collagen production, reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, and protecting the skin from environmental damage.

Power peel is effective in lighting and removing existing pigmentation. Beyond this, Power Peel inhibits tyrosinase — the enzyme responsible for melanin production to give the added advantage of protecting your skin against future pigmentation. This treatment brightens and smooths the face while protecting it from future pigmentation. This quick, non-invasive procedure takes 45 minutes and results in a more balanced skin tone and increased confidence.
